F.Y.I.

Over at PhysOrg.com, there is an article on the newest patent to be issued by the U.S. Patent Office:
The U.S. patent office has reportedly granted a patent for an anti-gravity device -- breaking its rule to reject inventions that defy the laws of physics.

The journal Nature said patent 6,960,975 was granted Nov. 1 to Boris Volfson of Huntington, Ind., for a space vehicle propelled by a superconducting shield that alters the curvature of space-time outside the craft in a way that counteracts gravity.
Check it out yourself. There was also an article in National Business Review about an M.I.T. study that claims tinfoil hats actually increase/amplify... sigh, the ability of certain frequencies to emanate mind-controlling techniques.

I hope you realize I am not serious. About the validity of these articles, although these two articles have varying degrees of seriousness, in of themselves.
